Developed alongside Austin Kalama and Koa Fabio, the Chimera Range is the preferred foil surfboard for experienced riders seeking the versatility and dynamic performance of a single board capable of covering all facets of foiling: surf, tow, and wing foiling. Inspired by the rocker lines of the Hover Surf Ascend, the new Chimera range shapes have evolved to be limitless, exceeding expectations of what is possible on a foil over waves.
Built with a biaxial carbon and glass sandwich, its superior strength is a key feature to maintain the critical structural aspects of the board, preventing dents or cracks during hard landings, while keeping the weight lighter than ever. Its narrow outline, combined with a low-volume composition, drastically enhances maneuverability and optimizes turning capability on waves.
The extended waterline and bottom design provide greater lift during takeoffs and faster acceleration from the water’s surface. The beveled rails allow quick touchdowns and a super-sharp tail exit for maximum efficiency while foiling, enabling riders to use a board with approximately 10 liters less volume than their typical board.
The modified volume distribution improves the balance profile of the board, making it easier to handle, while the recessed deck, combined with a slight W-concave and EVA pad, delivers unmatched paddling comfort and ergonomic foot placement with great control, keeping you firm without the need for straps.
