The Slingshot UFO kite changed kite foiling forever with its zero-strut design that offers supernatural levels of drift, upwind reach, and responsiveness. The UFO V3’s inflatable FlexLITE frame, constructed with high-tenacity 140 g/m2 polyester, further reduces the UFO’s weight without sacrificing performance or durability. With swept wingtips and a smart Compact Swept C canopy design, the Slingshot UFO V3 is designed for effortless water relaunch. Complementing the UFO's optimized minimalism is the new roll-top zipperless kite bag, keeping weight to an absolute minimum while maximizing convenience and packability.

FLEXLITE

Central to the UFO V3’s enhanced performance and lighter weight is FlexLITE, used in the leading-edge frame. FlexLITE features an increased open-thread orientation of 1:1 that allows the frame to flex and breathe under rider input. This flex provides more responsive and quicker steering while enabling the rider to generate more apparent wind through looping. At 140 grams per square meter, the weight reduction provided by FlexLITE optimizes drift and minimizes air resistance.

TRIMFLIGHT BRIDLE

With lines that are 25% thinner, TrimFlight Bridles offer drastically reduced drag, significantly increasing the UFO’s efficiency and responsiveness. Beyond being lightweight, the geometry, length, and placement of the bridle lines were intelligently designed to accentuate the top-tier performance characteristics of the UFO’s Compact Swept C hybrid shape.

COMPACT C-SHAPE CANOPY

The UFO V3’s patented Compact Swept C shape features a low-aspect compact arc that provides excellent control, pivoting, and upwind capability. The swept wingtips were specifically designed for a strutless kite to ensure effortless and reliable water relaunch. The Swept C shape offers responsive and immediate power management to prevent over-foiling.

STRUTLESS AIRFRAME

A bold and striking innovation when originally launched in 2020, the UFO’s strutless airframe required countless hours of research and development to perfect. The result is an almost complete elimination of drag, allowing the Slingshot UFO to fly in the lightest winds and achieve unmatched upwind angles, intuitive response, and superior foiling performance.

2X2 FLYWEIGHT CANOPY TECHNOLOGY

This is the lightest canopy material used on any Slingshot kite, without sacrificing stiffness or durability. The 2X2 Flyweight Canopy Technology is composed of reinforced ripstop nylon with a 2X2 weave that offers significant weight savings compared to our 4X4 Canopy Technology while still providing exceptional tear and stretch resistance.

RIDER CUSTOMIZATION SYSTEM (RCS)

Fully customize the UFO’s performance with the new Rider Customization System, incorporating three knots on the bridle lines with three knots on the Sentry control bar’s flight lines. RCS allows you to fine-tune the UFO’s handling, power delivery, and performance to align perfectly with your riding style and session conditions. Using the RCS, a rider can incrementally shorten or lengthen flight and power lines, easily and intelligently adjusting the UFO’s turning speed, power level, angle of attack, and bar pressure.
